You should still try to get your CC company to reverse the charge. See what happens, it can't hurt.
If somebody had the $$$, it would probably be possible to prove fraud in DVDSoon's actions...they (he) knew damn well that he was going to declare bankruptcy around now. There was a scheme, and its end date looked to be about now. Problem is, there might not be any money to be had for compensation. But if it was proven fraud, personal assets could be on the line. I bet this guy'll be back...
The site has continued to run almost 2 months after the sale to a new parent company. I checked the site, and it appears to be updated. Has anyone tried to ordering since?
The reason I ask is, they are STILL dirt cheap on certain items, and if they don't charge your credit card until the items ship, than there shouldn't be any problem.
I can't believe I'm even considering this, after the hassel I went through to get my money back.:b
Do not buy from. Currently they there are massive chargebacks being initiated against them for non delivery of goods. It has gotten so bad that they are claiming to ship stuff that is patently false. The tracking code PP317...atatched to any order from them never arrives-and this is on a worldwide basis. Type a google search on "Dvdsoon fraud" and a host of current pages will come up telling you of what's going on now.
Too late Dave! I bought from them in March (April? When did the busby box set come out?) I had 4 items on the order, got everything excpet one of the fox noirs. The last shipment I got was in may.
I went to check the site today on my other order, and it's down, a quick google search and it seems like they are under bankruptcy again. So it looks like DVDsoon is down for the count.
I was able to get all my money back on a charge back. Seeing as I'm only out $10 on this last failed order, I'm not going to worrie about it.
