So, my cheap Cyberhome DVD player died on me a this week. What is a good replacement for $100 or less?

Do you have any special features in mind?
    Progressive Scan, upsampling, region-free, hdmi?

The basics that I need are progressive scan and S video (component for future TV upgrade). HDMI isn't a necessity right now, my receiver doesn't have the inputs. I want something that won't need to be replaced when I finally make the jump to widescreen/HD.

For around $100 I'd go with a Sony or Panasonic. I use Pricegrabber.com to see what's available in certain price ranges or other categories. Even if you prefer to buy from a store and not on-line, you can easily see what current prices are as they seem to change almost daily. I saw some from Denon which would work well also. But stick with a name brand.

I picked up a Sony DVP-NS55P. It definitely has a better picture than the Cyberhome!

I recently demo'd the Sony H75. It is a very respectable player for the money.
