Toy Story Ultimate Toy Box- Not only films for kids, but also ones the whole family can enjoy. Top notch audio and video presentations. A plethora of extras is also presented that not only give a detailed look at the making of the movies, but also a look at the creator's passion for movie making.

Boogie Nights: 2 Disc Platinum Edition- Amazing film presented in amazing form. Paul Thomas Anderson also gives the best commentary I've ever heard, involving his inspirations and stories from the film.

Terminator 2 Judgement Day: Ultimate Edition- One of the slickest menu designs. With possibly the best audio and video presentations of any DVD, and an overwhelming amount of extras, T2: UE is an excellent start for any dvd beginner. Not only an amazingly entertaining action film, but also one with a heart.

I would select 3 mainstream, mass appeal selections that all have great picture and soundquality:

1) Toy Story - UTB - for the kids and adults

2) Legends of the Fall - not a great example of extras, but great epic movie that will leave EVERYONE satisfied. Plus - not EVERYONE has seen it so it might have some showing potential. It's got enough explosions to show off a sound system and, whew! - that cinematography will make ANY display shine

3)Moulin Rouge - Again - not everyone has seen this one, but you gotta admire its passion, sound and vision.

1. Toy Story 1&2 - Best video quality availible (digital to digital transfer) Parents and children can/do enjoy.

2. The Matrix - 1st movie I bought, just a kewl movie, many seem to think so, after all this time it's still in top 10 sales lists in Toronto.

3. Tombstone - Doc Holliday, uhmm, Doc Holliday,..... single performances CAN make a movie worth purchasing !.

****All 3 ARE Anaphormic**** very important !!!!@@@!!!

If movie does not come in "Anaphormic", check HomeTheaterForum for when it might be re-released in "Anaphormic" transfer.

1, Carinval of Souls (Criterion edition) - most thoughtfully compiled extras - almost too many!

2, Twin Peaks Season One - Most beautiful picture and sound.

3, Godfather Trilogy - Combination of most important and best movies ever made along with generous extras and mouthwatering 9 hour commentary from Coppola
