Hi. How do you connect a DVD-audio player to a receiver? Do you need to use the analog 5 cable output or will the optical or coaxial do?

I have a JVC FA95 but it won't work the DVD audio signal through the digital output. Is that the case with all? How do I hook this JVC to my Yamaha RX-V2200?

Please HELP!!!

Thank you.

You have to use the analog output from your DVD-Audio player. All are like this.

DVD-Audio is copyrighted (encrypted) to prevent copying it in its pure digital form. Thus, a DVD-A signal cannot be passed through a digital connection (yet, of course.....). You must run the 6-channel analog outputs from the player to your receiver or pre/pro.

The same holds true for SACD.
