Our house was recently wired for DSL. I'm away at college, so I know nothing about how awesome it is. However, I do know that we plan to get a wireless router.
Q1: is a wireless router better than a hard-line router?
Q2: what's the benefit of a wireless router? Best for laptops?
    thanks

Wireless is good if you don't want to run cable all over the place. Its real nice for laptops, nothing like surfing the HTF from your back patio or the couch or the bed, etc.
Yes there is a downside to it, speed and price. Speed you won't be able to tell the difference unless you start moving Gig files around....but price you WILL feel that where it hurts most men the most, the pocketbook.
