My co-workers were talking about some of these impossible stunts today. Are they really impossible?
Any tricks?
Any other good stunts?

A gallon of milk in an hour impossible? Hardly. I've done that many times over the course of my life. A gallon in 10 mins maybe is a better example, but an hour?

Well I had a friend try the milk trick and he did it in about 30 minutes. Well in around 5 minutes......it was all up again. I have heard that if you try to drink over a gallon it will curdle in your stomach. The cracker trick doesn't sound too hard.

5 Saltine crackers (without water) in one minute is absolutely impossible. I know it sounds easy, but its actually the quickest way to win/lose a bet. 5 Saltines in in 5 minutes may not even be possible. Most people end up having to spit the crackers out. Can't think of any others at the moment. TF

A whole bag of salt & vinegar potato chips in 10 minutes or less. I don't think it can be done.

A friend of mine is absolutely obsessed with this type of stuff. Every time we're out to eat, he's always saying something like; "How many french fries can you eat in 10 minutes? I'll bet you $20 you can't eat 4 boxes." I never go for it, because I'm not a big fan of puking. He's gotten a couple of his other friends to try stuff. The only one I remember was he got a guy to try to drink a half gallon of egg nog in 15 minutes. He puked it up of course. My friend is a weird guy, I think he just likes watching people barf.

Absolutely untrue. Well, sort of. :) My roommate in college most certainly did eat 5 saltine crackers in under a minute (without any water) in a dorm contest.
The trick was that he knew what time the contest was taking place and for a good 20 minutes did nothing more that stay silent and build up a ton of saliva to not screw up his throat. Then when the contest started, he stacked all 5 crackers in at once and chomped away. It took one major gulp, but he made it work and was able to swallow them all in about 45 secs! He was the man that day!

That is how long it just took me to inhale 5 saltine crackers swallowed. I would say that is pretty good for the first time.

No way. I routinely eat these things by the handful at work. I've never timed myself, but I know damn sure that I can eat 3 in less than a minute without water because I do it all the time without even thinking about it. Hell, just the other night my wife and I were eating them and I went through half a dozen during a 3 minute commercial break, and again, that's just eating them because I'm hungry - not trying to win any sort of game.
I think I could eat more than 5, actually...

Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you do criticize them, you'll be a mile away and you'll have their shoes.

There's a place in Portland, Oregon where if you eat their 72oz steak with all the trimmings (salad, potato, bread)in one hour, they'll give it to you for free. They have pics on the wall of people who've done it and you would be surprised by some of them. Little old ladies, huge fat men and everything in between, sitting in front of an empty plate looking like they are going to hurl.
I've never tried it 'cause if you can't do it you have to pay for it.

I remember in high school (mid 80's) trying to eat $10 worth of Taco Bell. That was food only. You could have a drink but did not count in the total. In todays dollars that would be about $15. I failed the first time and barely made the second try.
A friend of mine did $10 worth of White Castles.

A local radio station did the gallon of milk in an hour trick and all the contestants hurled. On the radio show they said it's because your body can't handle so much lactose in such a short timespan.
I'm going to try the saltines trick. :)

I had a friend in high school that could jam an entire Hostess Fruit Pie into his mouth at once...

At first I scoffed at the idea of not being able to do 5 saltines in one minute. But when I noticed it took 20 seconds just to get the first one down I realized I was in for more than I could chew...
