Yay. Once Kate left it went down the toilet and especially after Drew changed his job, although I'll be getting all the seasons.

Awesome show!

Yes, about time! Sheesh...I don't know what they were waiting for. I'm sure we'll never see all 9 seasons, but I'll take what they give me...

I need to find a good episode guide for this series and figure out exactly when it jumped the shark - I have a feeling it was well before Kate left, but in any case I need to figure out just when to stop buying...

i dont think the show ever jumped for me.
i know a lot of odd things went down the last season or 2 but, for me it fit right in.

the show was always sort of twilight zonish anyway.

oh yea, the one thing i didnt like was drew's brother not wearing womens clothes and marrying mimi

TVShowsOnDVD.com originally reported that the season 1 set will run 506 minutes. However, the Warner Bros site and Amazon.com lists it at 489 minutes.

If 506: 506 minutes / 22 episodes = average 23 minutes per episode
If 489: 489 minutes / 22 episodes = average 22.23 minutes per episode

Anyone know how long the uncut versions should be?

GOOD NEWS EVERYBODY!!!!!

I contacted Warner Bros to ask whether or not the episodes on the season 1 set will be uncut or not. Here's the response I received:

"Please note that with respect to the Drew Carey Show, it will be the broadcast versions."

When I asked what "broadcast versions" meant, I was told that they were the ones that were originally aired on ABC during the show's run (completely uncut). Cool!

Keep in mind though that future season sets are not guaranteed. It's based on how well previous releases sell. Take "Night Court" for example.
