Does Onkyo TX DS 898 has all channels stereo? (1 Viewer)

I am considering upgrading my Denon 3801 to the Onkyo 898 or even the Sony STR-DA5ES . The one thing I really like about 3801 is all channel stereo mode(7 channel stereo). Anybody know if this mode is present on the 898 or even the upcoming Sony DA5ES?

Alain,
If Onkyo stays within it's typicaly DSP realms you should expect the 898 to have at least all channel stereo and another type of surround matrix DSP (Enhanced 7 or NEO:6/7) like the 989/9.1 and 787/7.2 does.

my 595 has 5-channel stereo...i can't see why they wouldn't have 7-channel stereo on their higher models.
