Ok, I remember seeing this movie ages ago,
It was about this boy who lived with his mom and there was this furry type ET creature who did magical stuff.
If you have the slightest idea what the title of this movie might be please let me know.
Regards,
Ricky

This sounds like the 1986 film Hyper Sapien: People From Another Star?

No That's not it, Thank you for trying though.
I think it began with the letter F.
Furry type creature, Magical powers, boy who lives with mom and enters skateboard competition.
Any more suggestions please.....

I hope you don't mean The Pod People. Did your furry alien suck up peanuts with a snout?

....or did his magical powers include making toys come alive in a wacky fun-filled way?
Mac And Me is another not-intentionally funny film. I don't know if it's ever been released on DVD, but if it ever were, I am sure it would come with an order of fries.

I don't think this is it. I just watched the trailer on IMDB and I would've figured that they would mention skateboarding in there somewhere. From what I gathered, the boy in question is the son of a rancher.
Interestingly enough, none other than Casey Kasem (sp?) did the voice-over for the trailer. It ends with a tag line that is just plain stupid.

I'm so sad that I know the answer. The movie is Munchie.
EDIT - upon further thought (something I'm not known for) I don't think Munchie is the right movie.

Or Munchie Strikes Back. :)
Damn, the Munchie films were cinema classics, why aren't they on DVD? Come on New Horizons! :)

Munchie Strikes Back? I'd pay to see it if it was called "Munchie, Jay, and Silent Bob Strike Back."
