Is there any work going on by Disney to restore and release Treasure Island? The DVD is pretty ratty and it would be great to have a better release.

Disney's Restoration team, led by Theo Gluck, worked on "Treasure Island" and it was shown on TCM recently with the restored Technicolor short "Flowers and Trees".
No information though, that I recall, was mentioned about a blu ray release.

It is now available on bluray at the Disney movie club for 12.50 if you're a member and buy another one at 29.95
