I am selling a dish 5000 HD recording package.
I do not know a decent price point so make offers. Since I need to put a price on it per forum rules I will say $1600.

    Included:

Dish 5000 receiver comes with remote and access card
Dish 5000 HD modulator Slides in the back of the 5000 receiver
    Panasonic DST51 with remote control
Panasonic PV-HD1000 DVHS deck with remote control - consumer version

All items are in Excellent Excellent condition. I bought these a while back and never really got into recording.

    Payment:
    Postal Money Order
or Paypal if willing to split costs.

    Shipping:
Buyer responsible to pay for shipping and insurance. I will ship any way you like (FedEX, UPS, USPS)

Let me know if interested. dwhite456@hotmail.com

    Thanks,
    DWhite

Sorry, also need the modulator (I think). Is the reciever with modulator all I need to view dish HDTV and OTA HDTV?
    Thanks!

    Hi Walter,

For the most part YES but I think I would rather try and sell as a package right now.
The 5000 and the mod will allow you to view Dish HD and OTA HD. Unfortunately with the older technology you cannot get Discovery HD with this setup. The new HD channels will be using a new transport and that is the 8psk. The Dish 6000 is the only receiver currently out that will take advantage of the new technology. I say new as in new to Dish Network.
I would suggest looking for a Dish 6000 receiver w/ the 8psk module and the 8vsb module included.

    Thanks,

    DWhite

Anyone interested in this setup? Lowered asking price. Make an offer. It is looking like I may need to go to Ebay.
