Dear Guys,Every Christmas, I hope that some of the forgotten tv Holiday specials from years past make it out on DVD. This year it looks like nothing but Lifetime, Hallmark (current series) and recent ones will make it out to the Wal mart aisles. This is somewhat disappointing for me since I was really hoping that one of these would make it out.Richard Williams version of A Christmas CarolThe Bear Who Slept Through Christmas Art Carney in The Great Santa Clause SwitchNoel (narrated by Charlton Heston)There's something special in these classics from years past. I'd like to think it's something called, "heart". Anybody else feel that way?james

For me, heart and nostalgia are the best combo with Christmas stuff.

I actually don't mind the Mill Creek (and similar) sets. Fun to kind of discover a gem or 2 on those for the $5 they usually cost.

I remember sitting down to check out the quality of the transfers on a MC set. Pretty bad, but watchable. I sat down to something called Christmas without Snow, just to watch a little to see what it was and check the quality. Ended up watching the whole thing, completely unplanned, and really had a good time with that old movie. Mama Walton was in it, and the professor from Paper Chase (John Houseman)... I don't have satellite or cable right now, but that was one of the things I liked the best about it, accidentally finding a gem.
