    Hardly prolific was he? Makes me wonder why he bothered with this film-making lark.
    The Thin Red Line was a pretentious load of philosophical bollocks, good to look at though.

    *1. Days Of Heaven - A (all-time top 40, seen in a theater though the print was kind of shabby. My favorite Ennio Morricone score.)

    *4. The Thin Red Line - B+
    (not as high on this as I used to be, but still has a lot of strengths. Saw this in a gorgeous IB Technicolor print at the Egyptian in LA)
