I'm watching Die Hard on the Action! network in WIDESCREEN! All it's 2.35:1 glory!
I can't help but feel this is a step in the right direction!

I watched the film on FX a few months ago and it was in widescreen. Oddly enough, they edited out the bad language and the nude pictures in the locker room...but the violence was left intact!

Yes, but what time is it? Is it a.m. or p.m.?
I love channels like American Movie Classics, and Turner Classic Movies, because they show films in their OAR's at night, during the day, they get pussy whipped and show films in pan n puke.

I saw it early in the AM once and they left all the nudity, violence, etc. in but censored the gun fire. as in it was muted. ridiculous
It also started out as widescreen then at the intermission it changed to full-frame...crazy

I believe FX used the (then) new 5-Star DVD (or it's master) for the actual broadcast, with neccessary edits. I believe the presentation was part of the promotion of the DVD.
