Denon AVR 2807 vs AVR 2106 (1 Viewer)

If you were to chose between Denon AVR 2807 vs AVR 2106 what would you chose.
I found 2106 for $480 and 2807 for $750.
I heard that component vs HDMI is not that different in quality. SO am I only payint $270 extra for HDMI output or is it really better in quality so that I should force my budget to get the 2807.
Any ideas? There are lots of reviews for 2807 but none for 2106.

Neither, I would choose the new AVR-2307CI coming out this month Should be available around $650.

I was waiting for that one too but if you look at Denon website, 1 week ago they were annoucing that it was going to be out in August, now they have changed it to September. And maybe in September they will change it to October. My speaker system is set up and waiting. I was waiting for that one too but now I may just chose from one of the above to get my system running....

the avr-2307 is hdmi 1.1-- not really as future proof as it would seem.

Do you have a television with hdmi inputs?

I would most definately pick the AVR-2807 in that case - this receiver has a much stronger 0.05 THD rating, higher watts per channel, HDMI upconversion, iPod connectvity, pre-amp outputs, and many more inputs.

Yes, my tv has HDMI imputs. Samsung 50"

Any idea on the AVR-2307CI date, they say Sep, is that likely? I was about to buy the AVR 2807 but will hold off a little longer if needed.
