Denon 5800 sale at tweeter for $2700 (1 Viewer)

Was browsing through tweeter at lunch time and came upon the 5800 sale for 2700 with full warranty. I dont know how long it has been going on but tweeter is getting rid of the 5800 to make space for the new 5803. If you are quick enough you might find a new sealed piece for that price. I think its a steal for that price esp if you add the $600 for the upgrade you can have the 5803 for $3300. Now guys dont tell me its not a steal for the 5803 for that price.

How much is the 5803 going to cost when it finally hits the streets?

I think the MSRP is going to be in the ball park of $4300-$4500. Some one correct me if I am wrong.

My 5803 will run me right around $3k and maybe even a little less. My dealer isn't quite sure on final pricing yet, but that's the general ballpark. I should know for a fact pretty soon now. And yes, the source is an authorized dealer so no warrantee issues. If anyone is interested in where I got it, I'll let you know after I receive mine. Wouldn't want you guys beating me to the punch

If this were true, I'd look for a follow-up post on AVSForum.com by K_Thompson to see who his dealer is in California. If $3K were the "street" price for the 5803, I'd go for that as opposed to the 5800 + upgrade option which will put you at $3300 + tax. Plus, the 5800 + upgrade has some limitations when compared to the "true" 5803.

In that case I humbly withdraw my prior statements. $3K for the 5803 is a true bargain.
