after reading the response from the prior thread I ask myself - why would I buy a $1,200.00 dvd player (denon 3800) when I can get a $500.00 (denon 1600) that does not have "the bug"
John, fair question. Some have said that the chroma bug on the '3800 is minor, but it is still there. That said, I would fully expect the '3800 to better in the audio department. If it isn't, then Denon is really trying to put one over on us. The '3800 is built better and appears to be more "audiophile" on the inside and out than the '1600. Still, the chroma bug on the '3800 is a letdown.
