Having experienced both of Napoleon's scores with a live orchestra, once in Radio City Music Hall, and a few years ago in Oakland, each occasion under the baton of the original composer, I feel that Davis is the better choice. But as David says, it's all a matter of personal taste.

I'd sure love to have THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND, but I'm not, nor will I ever be, interested in streaming it. Sorry, old fashioned "I want to own it" guy here.

Are any of those movies presented with the original score? I love the later silents that have the original music and sound effects.

Bruce - there should be 5 that have original soundtracks as released:

MYSTERIOUS ISLAND (mostly silent with score)
OUR MODERN MAIDENS
SPITE MARRIAGE
WHERE EAST IS EAST
WILD ORCHIDS

All of these have been on TCM and/or previously released on DVD with the original soundtrack.
