I must admit I was quite shocked when I signed on this morning and found the news about Dallas Season 4 already being released in January, a mere 6 months after the last release! I think everyone was expecting to have to wait another year like last time. Hopefully this is a good sign and we'll get 2 releases every year. And with any luck, KNOTS will be released in January as well.

Season 4 is one of the best seasons in my opinion. Great recurring characters make their first appearances here. Afton Cooper, Rebecca Wentworth, Clayton Farlow! Donna and Ray get married...so much! I need to hurry and finish watching season 3 as I previously thought I'd have a year to get through it!

Who could blame us Jeff? We're just too excited!

I remember where I was when "Whodunnit" aired. My parents were out for the evening at a "who Shot JR" party in the neighborhood, and us kids were at home watching it and betting our allowance!

What would be really cool would be if they included all the multiple alternate endings for the whodunit episode that were filmed to make sure nothing leaked out, as even the actors were kept in the dark.

They just have to put all those discarded scenes of other people shooting JR! Actually, after the first episode aired that season, some of those alternate takes were shown on talk shows; I remember seeing a couple of them. So they're out there somewhere, and absolutely should be included. Dallas has had few extras and I want more more more.

See, if they do the Return to Southfork show, they include the bloopers and outtakes plus Larry had the footage from the people who shot him...so you are really getting that with this season release.

I wonder if when All the Dallas Seasons come out they will include the 2 re union movies in one or any of the season sets. The first one was in 1996 "J.R. Returns" and the 2nd in 2000? When J.R. already in control of Westar tried to take over Ewing oil from Bobby and Sue Ellen.

The first was better than the 2nd IMO because Jon Ross and Christopher were included

I'm more interested in getting the tv movie "Dallas: The Early Years" which aired in early 1986 during season 9. It was a really good entertaining prequel to the series. It seems unlikely they'll include any of the tv movies as extras on season sets, and it also seems unlikely these would be released individually. The best idea would be to release all 3 tv movies together in one 2-3 disc set. I just hope we don't have to wait until all 14 seasons are released before getting the tv movies.

Great news. Hopefully stepping up the release schedule might mean seasons 5 & 6 too by the end of next year.
