    SYNOPSIS
    A Russian circus visits the U.S. A clown wants to defect, but doesn't

    nerve. His saxophone-playing friend (Williams) however decides to
    defect while
    shopping in Bloomingdale's. He is befriended by a security guard and
    falls in love
    with an Italian immigrant (Alonso) working behind the perfume counter.
    We follow
    his life as he works his way through the American dream and tries to
    succeed as
    a musician.
