I picked up Tokyo Drifter as a blind purchase a few years ago, and it's one of my favorite films in my collection.

A fantastic blend of eccentric filmmaking and luscious colors, I'd say get it immediately.

I absolutely would NOT recommend THE TIN DRUM as a blind purchase. There are many who think it is a brave and outstanding film, but it is also disturbing, pretentious in places and certainly not for all tastes. I didn't care for it when I saw it, though that was many years ago. I'd definitely rent before purchasing.
