I'm thinking about importing Cosmo's Factory and Willy And The Poorboys. How's the SACD on both? There's no 5.1 mix, right? Not that I'm bothered; as long as the original mix of an album is there in high-quality then I'm happy.

Strange that these are not available in the UK.

Cheers.

I only have Willie and it sounds great. No, there's no 5.1 mix despite some jewel boxes being mislabeled multi-channel.

:) I think you've picked winners, and if you ask me, those are their best 2 albums too. Give'em a go! Best wishes!

I have heard most of them and the sonics are very good. Pretty much anything Steve Hoffman is mastering these days is a superb effort only limited by the master tapes.

I look forward to buying his new Donovan Storyteller disc.

Lee, "Storyteller" is great. I have not listened to the CD layer of the hybrid, but the SACD layer is worlds above the std. CDs I have.
