I was set up on a blind date a few weeks ago by a friend. Usually, blind dates are a disaster but this time it was different. We get along extremely well and have been inseparable since. But that's not all.

Last night I spent some time with her at her parent's house. Imagine my surprise when I walk in to find a 60"+ HDTV widescreen set, full-on surround sound setup, progressive scan DVD, and HDTV tuner. And it wasn't no-name brands mind you. We're talking Polk, Infinity, Sony, etc. To demo his setup he puts in Episode 1 and skips to the pod race sequence. I was blown away.

Don't know if that's ever happened to anybody else, but I thought it was cool.

About the Episode 1 demo, he actually mentioned that the video had a bit too much edge enhancement, but was mainly looking to demo the 5.1.

This is the father's ploy with all prospective boyfriends. He gets them interested in the HT system which causes them to stop paying attention to his daughter. Presto... no more boyfriend and the blood pressure is back to normal!
