Jimi Hendrix - Electric ladyland. The US release, with Jimi singing, this is the one that's on there now. I don't know, I think it shows you a little bit of what Electric Ladyland is like.

Primus has some good ones also.

My favorites are.

Peter Gabriel 2(the hands scratching the cover is so cool)

Frank Zappa- Uncle Meat(just disturbing)

I also love Genesis- Nursery Cryme(I have the Paul Whitehead open edition print framed on my wall)

Belle and Sebastian- fold your hands child,you walk like a peasant.

There are others, but they would be obvious, and would just be repeats.Had to mention Nursery Cryme too, because it is my favorite of all time.

I agree with that ..

My personal favorite album cover is

CELTIC FROST - To Mega Therion

It was done for them by H.R. Giger of Alien fame, and it complements the apocalyptic ground braking Death Metal contained within.

It is one of the instances where the artwork adds so much to the music.

That cover used to give me nightmares when I was a young 'un. I'd have to say that Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart is my all time favourite cover. I also love the artwork that David Barnes has done for Of Montreal.

I agree on the R.E.M. on all acounts but MURMUR, it is one of my all time favorites, there is something about the Kudzu on the front and back cover that I get lost in, and I am a big fan of the group, but the other covers suck.
