Confused about Pioneer 563 (1 Viewer)

Ok, so i already bought the Toshiba 4900 and it works fine (nothing to compare it to). But i heard so much talk about the Pioneer 563, and now the only things i read about it are negative. Does it have the faroujda chip? And for strictly DVD Video purposes, will i notice any difference between the Toshiba (or any other $100 player)?

Old news but, no, it does not have the Faroudja chip.

I don't know about p.q., but based upon build quality, I'd say the 563A is/was a better buy than the 4900 or any other $100 player.
