The AOL radio commercial that is supposed to sound like an awards show where the girl is saying "pop-up blocker, you rock!" makes me want to drive my car into a pole.

I get annoyed at the Domino's Pizza commercial when they "ring the doorbell" near the end. I know it's from the commercial, but it still causes a momentary "gotta get the door" response.

Enzyte - Bob and his "big" boost of confidence, starring that dude with that Joker-like grin frozen on his face. I would say that he accidentally got a dose of Smilex by accident, rather than Viagra.

By the way, I cannot imagine his Mrs. would be happy in real life, especially looking at that rictus like smile. UGH!

I *hate* those gnome commercials - I immediately associate them with Amélie, and it feels like such a cheap attempt at cashing in on that film that I have utterly despised them since making that connection.
I also immediately turn off the radio when I hear "Rich Chocolate Ovaltine!", any of those Wendy Freezin (sp?) hypnosis ads (or any self-help ad, for that matter), and lately, those anti-pot PSAs with the kid having to make a choice to take a hit and the announcer interrupting saying, "This is the time your influence can make a difference." Good message, but it feels like a sledgehammer hitting my moral brain.
And I still can't reiterate enough how utterly hideous the US Window Factory commercials are ... am I the only one who pictures that announcer as the same guy who was the "special program" doctor in Total Recall that tried to convince Schwarzenneger to take the pill to wake up? Ugh! "We toolllllld you soooooooooo!" - Ohw my Gawud, wutta ... nietmeyah!

"What's the last intelligent TV ad you can remember?"
The Best of Groucho Marx has some of the ads that played in the episodes.

They are so damn logical!

This is why you want to buy this and then they go down a list of features.

I wanted to run out and buy a Packard.

How did we get to a point of were you can't figure out what they are selling or virtual stuntdrivers driving up a side of the Grand Canyon?

I hate the Sonic commercials only because those burgers look really good late at night and the nearest restaurant is 200 miles away in New Jersey.

American Express has a radio ad running on all the stations aroud here about their small business loans. Some guy talks and says "I wanted to build something and I saw a 700 million dollar email market". The moral of the story is that if you have a "business vision" American Express will lend you the money before your bank would.

Did that guy say "Email market"?

A freaking SPAMMER?!?!?

Eff you American Express!

They need to take off the commercial with Jimmy Fallon and Parker Posey for Pepsi off the air.

They seem to be having a bad reaction to the contents of their Pepsi drink.

I have 1 for you guys and gals. I listen to ESPN radio most of the time. There is some commercial that I've heard at least 50+!!!!!! times already. It's for equifax. There's some guy shredding anything his family owns that might have private information, diaries from his daughter, his son's yearbook(change's his son's name too), recipes from his M-I-L, money, and a big shredder to shred his original shredder(in case you're curious, YES......I've heard these commercials way too much if i describe them perfectly even though I HATE them and the company they represent). Equifax will never get a single penny from me. Has anybody else heard this? Any comments if so? That's a really, REALLY horrible one I can think of immediately.

Okay...for you guys who listen to ESPN radio. I don't know if the same is true in your area...but in mine, the station must not sell many commercials because it seems like most of the commercial blocks are taken up by public service announcements.
Does this one for girlsgotech.com sound familiar to any of you?
Daughter:
Mommy...sing me to sleep!
Mom:
Okay!
Twinkle, twinkle little star
You're a ball of gas that's very far.
32 lightyears in the sky.
Ten parsecs...which is [giggles] REALLY high.
Helium, carbon & hydrogen...
fuse to make our starry friend.
When it reaches supernova stage
It explodes with bursts of rage.
And if the star's mass is big and bold...
it will become a big black hole.
Together:
And if the star's mass is big and bold...
[laughing]it will become a big black hole.
I cannot believe I know all those words. And then there's Sean Astin reminding all men who turn 18 they need to sign up for Selective Service.
And then there are four or five different PSAs by RAAADD (rad') (Recording Artists and Athletes Against Drunk Driving).
Over and over and over again....
:D
I don't know how this station stays on the air if they don't start selling more commercial time.

I don't listen to ESPN radio much. But Corbin's commercial is on other stations A LOT. Maybe it's the frequency of these commercials that make them so annoying.

Mike I haven't heard any of those yet.

Mike, I know where you coming from. We have 2 sports radio stations in Toledo..........owned by(drum roll please)the 2 competing national radio chains(cumlulus and clear channel). 1230 plays Jim Rome and FOX radio, but also does VERY poorly(they run arbor day foundation commercials, smokey the bear ads, more mental health commercials and family health ads by the federal goverment than I knew existed,anti-drug ads, etc, etc, etc). They even have some right-wing guy who pays to be their morning radio show(he has about 9-14 listeners TOTAL)........so of course it's the clear channel station. The cumulus station is ESPN all the time..........as well as westwood one(CBS), local high school games, NFL games, MLB games, OSU games, etc). You NEVER hear any federal ads on that one, while the 1230 station plays almost 75% federal ads. It sounds like your local sports station is a clear channel station if I had to take a guess. It seems like clear channel uses their sport stations in a lot of markets(not all, but quite a few) as a tax-writeoff.
Now that I'm done hijacking the thread, that reminds me of the horrid ads the feds do. the anti-drug, pro-family,mental health ads.....yuck. They're REALLY bad. The arbor day foundation one is bad too.

Does any one know where I can get hold of the creators behind the Skittles ad where the guy picks up the Skittles with his beard?
I'd LOVE to bash their skulls in so they don't come up with anything as annoying as that EVER again!!! I don't know why, but it boils my blood when I see it.
I think it's the quietness of the commercial and the cockiness of the guy, that makes me want to smack that expression off his face.

The Charmin commercials with the animated bears.

Charmin...best for bear bottoms.

*blech*

In fact, I'd like a total moratorium on advertising of all "personal care" products that involve the nether regions, please.

Tampons, pads, condoms, vaginal creams and ointments, douches, TP, moist wipes, all medications for erectile dysfunction and yeast infections, etc. You don't need to advertise...people will find your product in the stores.

The Charmin commercials with the animated bears.
LOL - That commercial was JUST on!
The part where the bear looks around with wide eyes and goes "This is gonna require a lot of Charmin!!" and runs to the toilet paper...
All I keep thinking is that bear has a REALLY big dump to take and it grosses me out! (blech!) I don't want to think about cute little animated bears taking huge dumps.
