I would like to very much see the following released on dvd ( and would buy instantly ):

Movies ( some of which have never been released on home video ): Original aspect ratio only, please!

A Feather In Her Hat

The Amsterdam Kill

Crime And Punishment

The Dresser

Experiment In Terror

The Face Behind The Mask

Fugitive From A Prison Camp

Happy Birthday To Me

I Am The Law

Just You and Me, Kid

The Last Hard Men

The Man Behind The Gun

The Maniac

The Mating Of Millie

Mute Witness

Oklahoma Crude

Pendulum

Scream Of Fear

Somebody Killed Her Husband

The Stone Killer

Tight Spot

Torture Garden

The Walls Came Tumbling Down

Who's Minding The Mint?

TV Shows:

Early Edition

Hardcastle And McCormick

I Dream Of Jeannie ( including the first season un-colorized and how about some involvement from Eden, Hagman and Daily?)

These movies need to be re-released in their proper aspect ratios:

84 Charing Cross Road

Anatomy Of a Murder

Cowboy

The Mountain Men

The Road To Wellville

Rough Magic

Shamus

Lastly, I want to thank you for the great product you've released that I have purchased for my own collection as well as for others. This includes some dandy extras on catalog titles as well as fine transfers. Please keep it up and may I also ask you to strongly consider releasing the many wonderful serial/cliffhangers in the Columbia library. Thanks.

How about some more musicals - especially the Rita Hayworth- Fred Astaire films, Youll never get Rich and You were Never Lovelier. The !955 scope stereo musical, My Sister Eileen would also be good. rita Hayworth in Salome (one of the wackiest biblical films) would be great fun too.

From an old Rocker,

One two three a clock, four a clock rock,

five six seven a clock, eight a clock rock,

nine ten eleven a clock, twelve a clock rock,

we're goin to "ROCK AROUND THE CLOCK" tonight.

What a great double set "Rock around the Clock" and "Don't knock the Rock" would make.

Also I will add,

Those dreadfully cheap, but heaps of fun Sam Katzman Columbia Serials.

The B Grade, but exuberant Ann Miller Musicals.

The Randolph Scott Westerns

Where is one of Columbia's biggest ever money makers "The Jolson Story" with it's recently mastered Stereo Tracks.

You would think that it is still capable of bringing in a few Dollars.

I also second the Rita Hayworth titles and Janet Leigh's "My Sister Eileen" and Betty Grable's "Three for the Show", the last two titles extremely valuable Laser Disc possessions of myself and others, thanks largely to the passionate work of our own Joe Caps.

Thanks for the compliment! ONe musical I tried to release on laser and we could never clear the rights to it is the 1956 "You Cant Run away from It" with Jack Lemmon and June Allyson - columbia does have the stereo tracks for this. I am told that they recently found the long missing stereo tracks for Lord Jim!

A good double, a re release of "It Happened one Night" coupled with it's enjoyable Musical Remake "You can't run away from it" which contains some terrific Johnny Mercer and Gene De Paul songs, not to mention Stubby Kaye and also The Four Aces singing the title song.

Joe,

Are you allowed to say what the problem with the rights were with that movie and could they possibly be solved now?

A remastered Anamorphic Widescreen, Stereo version would be fantastic.

Th rights problem with "You Can't Run Away from It" was a music rights problem with the songs - the sort of thing they should be able to clear now for DVD but were not big enough for the small laser market.
