I believe Warner is giving this title serious consideration in regard to their distribution deal with Paramount.

Nope, that title didn't come up in my conversations. In 2013, Warner is doing a major celebration on Eastwood's career which has mainly been with Warner.

    Hmmmm....

Warner has released a good amount of their Eastwood's catalog on Blu already. Disregarding Clint's early non-headlining films of the 50s/early 60s, if one includes acting and/or directing credits the following are left:

    Bronco Billy (1980)
    Honkytonk Man (1982)
    City Heat (1984)
    Tightrope (1984)
    Bird (1988)
    Pink Cadillac (1989)
    White Hunter, Black Heart (1990)
The Bridges of Madison County (1995)
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (1997)
    True Crime (1999)

Paramount has the following Eastwood films yet on Blu:

    Paint Your Wagon (1969)
    Escape from Alcatraz (1979)

They're going to release a 40 DVD and 20 Blu-ray collections in 2013 along with a new Eastwood documentary that the HTF Group sampled on our visit there.

I agree with you as I think Tightrope is one of his most underrated films.

Right, but the 2013 schedule press release suggests those are repackagings of existing releases (+ the upcoming Trouble with the Curve BD). I haven't seen any "new to Blu" titles announced anywhere yet.

I have the press release kit and it doesn't mentioned which titles are in the collection besides Trouble with the Curve. Also, some of those titles like Unforgiven can use another rework so I'm hoping for that at least.

I always enjoyed this movie. I remember watching it on Sunday night ABC movie when I was probably around 9 or 10 (early 80s) - always found it so intriguing and the suspense worked.

Definitely looks like it came from an older master, but should be way better than that non-anamorphic DVD I used to have.
