I have just got the Yamaha RX-V 1500 and the DVD C-750. Redbook cd playback is great, as is DVD video performance. My problem is during DVD playback dialog sounds hollow and unnatural in any of the soundfields. YPAO did not help and I have poured through the guide. I have Klipsch front and center that sound great with any other format and in pure audio mode, in fact they sound great during a DVD except the center. Anyone have any ideas?--thanks

Probably just don't like the center.

So in DD 5.1 the center sounds bad to you???


For right now just remove it from the system and see if it helps any. Your AVR should create what is called a phantom center from the 2 fronts.

I am also assuming you calibrated, this can go a long way to helping a lacking center specific speaker out.
