I have a limited height ceiling (87" to joists)

I have a bit of a budget ($1500?) to cover the ceilings and walls.

My main priority is limiting reflection, I am not too worried about sound except to the degree it bounces around right in the theater.

Can I just paint the ceiling (or should I use some fabric etc.) and the same for the walls.

I am wide open to creative solutions or even an education on the basics.

The room is L-shaped and I am projecting from the middle into one end of the L. Roughly how far back to do I need to treat the ceiling and walls?

Need to hurry winter gets here fast!

I would just paint them both, unless you want some sort of special look. If so, what I did was paint the ceiling and screen wall a flat black enamel(Behr). And the other 3 walls are a dark gray(flat enamel). The most important thing is to treat the ceiling, from the screen back to the lens.
