A buddy of mine built me 3 gorgeous stands for my center and surround speakers, and I need to get carpet spikes for them. I was hoping to find some simple plastic 1.5 inch spikes that I could put into the bottom to give them more balance.

However looking at places like Parts Express, all they have are heavy duty metal spikes at $20 bucks a set. That seems way too much.

Does anyone know of any alternatives? Would home depot carry something like this?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you both for the info.

Darren, are those spikes only 3/8 inch long? The description on their site is vague and I need at least a 1.5 inch long spike.

Troy, are they $1.05 each or 1.05 for a set of four?

The ones I have here at home are about 1" long not including the threads I believe. I'll have to take a look.
