What is the best way to get a good deal on a HD receiver? I have direct TV and my contract is not up till September. Thanks in advance. David

You can't do anything until you can threaten to switch to Dish or cable. Your best bet now is an open box receiver. I've read that Radio Shack is dumping their DTC-100s for around $200 each. It's the first DirecTV HD receiver and it has it's quirks. Remember, when you active this new receiver you are also signing another 1 year contract.
