Cable or dish?

I'm getting tired of trying to hook up my Adelphia (Motorola) digital box. There is no HD cable in my area yet. The box only has component output and I can't even figure out if that's true. 1-800 tech support for Adelphia tells me that the cmposite output is dissabled on their boxex so I need to get a VCR to hook-up. That seems real bogus to me.

Assuming I can get the box to work with my HT, Am I still better off with a dish?

Thanks,

Mirko

Depends on several things, first does your area really offer digital cable. That may explain why composite output is only working through the vcr. The other issue you have is your access to a South West view for the satellite to get it's signal from. I prefer satellite for it's picture but would love to have a cable modem. Satellite for internet access is just way to expensive. Dish network has a large selection of HD channels, certainly more than DirecTV. I've seen some good digital cable reception but I'm parical to satellite. I've had them both, Dish Network
and DirecTV. I find DTV to be warmer than Dish. I'd go satellite if you cable isn't completely up to the task.
