I am using nero with great results but I hate when I am in my car, and the id tags have the .mp3 after every song anyone know how to get rid of this? or do i just have to deal with it?

I believe it is a function of your car stereo. I have an Alpine headunit that plays mp3 discs and I can have it switch from diplaying the file information (then .mp3 would show up on the display) or have it display the ID3 tag information (then the whole title of the song would appear without the .mp3 extension). Though, I may be wrong. :b

Arthur is spot on. It's a matter of your car reading the file name versus the id3 tag.
My player does this in id3 mode
    Album/Artist line 1
    Song Title line 2

but for file mode It just displays the file name(which I think is better since I really care more about the artist and song title than the album).

Use something like MusicMatch Jukebox or iTunes, they let you edit the ID3 tags as well as burn a CD full of mp3s.

I emailed MM about this but before they could reply I managed to figure out another way of doing this. I created a "Data Disk" instead of an "MP3 Disk". This option allowed me to create folders.

Here's the official way to do it:

    Open the Burner applet
    Choose Options
    Choose Settings
    Click on the MP3 tab
Under "Automatic folder creation (using tags)" click Modify
Choose "ArtistName" from the left column and click Add

By choosing "ArtistName" folders will be created in accordance to the name of the artist.

Also, make sure that the "Close disk after burn" is checked under the Options on the Burn tab.

editing ID3 tags in Nero is easy.
just drag the file to the burning pane, then right click it and go to properties.
    edit away.
