"Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding BBC World News. Over the past few weeks, we've noted the response from our dedicated viewers to the removal of the morning news block. We understand that many of you wish to start your day with the BBC's newscast and we appreciate your loyalty. We're happy to report that after careful review, we've reached a solution that will enable us to reinstate a morning feed - though in a slightly different time slot which is more viable from a business perspective. Beginning Monday, May 18th BBC World News will air weekday mornings from 5-8am EST. We hope you enjoy it."
This week's show was very ho-hum. In fact, Aidan Davis was probably the best of the lot. I still preferred George Sampson though.
The worst of the lot had to be the following.
The next one was frustrating. It's one more of those "split acts" where only one of the participants deserves to move on to the next round. Guess which one.
Hollie Steel might break under pressure -- again, making me ask if there shouldn't be a proper age limit to this competition.
Shaun Smith, Julian Smith and Sallie Lax (of 2 Grand) will be signed up for recording contracts no matter what happens tonight.
12 year old Callum Francis, who did the number "Bare Necessities" from Disney's "The Jungle Book", should have made it through to the finals. No matter. He'll most likely find work in London's West End theatre district.
The battle for first place will be between Diversity and Flawless. It's a battle that's simply too close to call.
Just a few more minutes left for the final battle to commence!
Talent or not, and yes, dancing takes talent.. it's still one of those talents you go "impressive" and that's it. It's not like I'm going to save video of dance routines anywhere to rewatch them or anything. Kudos to Diversity. They get the $100,000; but somehow, I don't see any sort of super-lucrative career in front of them. I mean, they could have had the greatest ventriloquist the world had ever seen, a guy who could eat sandwhiches and provide voices for two dummies at the same time. It would have been an incredible talent. And marketable like dog poo Just saying, congratulations to Diversity, I was very impressed with their talent. Now, they can take their hard earned winnings and find real jobs
Terry Fator at the Mirage Casino in Las Vegas. From $64.90 to $141.90. Ouch!
Even if his fame doesn't last forever, he's pretty much set for life. Then again, Jeff Dunham is more popular than ever just by creativity alone, and of course one dead terrorist.
So Susan Boyle will end up with superstar status even though her singing abilities might be the equivalent of a one-trick-poney.
Yes, that's how I feel about Susan Boyle. I found only her first performance to have been her best. She never emanated the same aura of joy and fascination in her later performances during the finals. If anything, I would have preferred if she had never made it in Saturday's final.
Diversity however was definitely in my opinion the most worthy winners. They had not only the best performances of the competition, but were also the most consistent in their overall improvement. They simply got better and better at every performance, never dropping the kid with the funky hairdo once.
All in all, this year's competition was incredible by the level of talent that was presented. Even the Stavros Flatley duo was enjoyable in its own way, mainly due to the incredibly strong bond between father and son.
I truly enjoyed this year's edition, and can't wait for next year's edition! It'll be a very tough act to follow!
