It's been out in Canada for almost a year now. It's a Lion's Gate release but it' s not anamorphic.

I think he means the SE. Can't wait to ditch my crappy Canadian version for it.

Is the version to be released in May by Fox the uncut version?

I only saw this movie once and I'm not sure if it was the uncut version or not, but like everyone else I'd like it to be the uncut version.

Apparently it's been moved to June 25th. I can't wait to replace my Canadian copy with the new SE! [IMG]

My new Fox copy is not 16:9, just so you know.

The SE is not anamorphic; as far as I can see, it is almost the same transfer as on the Canadian disc. Both are 2:35, and both run around 108 minutes (the Canadian packaging is wrong on the running time and AR.) The SE is Dolby 5.1 and sounds a lot better, especially with all the choir music throughout. However, the Canadian edition's trailer is in stereo; the SE's mono. Go figure.

As far the delay--I haven't listened to all the commentary, but during the credits, Troy Duffy thanks his fans for sticking with his movie, and mentions Columbine. That tragedy might have been a reason for the SE's delay, but who can penetrate the mind of movie marketing execs.

Im listening to the commentary right now, and he said columbine was why it was not released in theatres here. THe commentary is pretty good, leaps and bounds over others I have heard.

This is a FOX title... Peter said FOX has a 16:9 policy now. Why would they advertise this movie as 16:9 on the packaging and give us a non-enhanced feature?

    Can Fox answer this?

    Thanks,

    Chris.

Peter Staddon from Fox replied as to why this title is not 16:9 enhanced on this thread.
I did check my Canadian release and it is definately 2.35:1, so the AR is correct.
    Chris.
