I just noticed it does have the sticker.... and I ended up opening the box and getting things as set up as I could, and Talledega Nights is in the box.
I watched part of Black Hawk Down this morning. It is quite impressive. I also bought The Lake House. Its image is a bit confusing to me. The colors and shading are outstand but it is a little off focused or soft. HD certainly shows the actor aging process up close and personal. even soft focused ones.
The problem with both HD-DVD and BD is going back to plain DVD movies especially the older ones.

Coming from Amazon: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Stargate (too bad I just read about the screwed up subs or I wouldn't have ordered) Lady in the Water
If my Amazon membership (10% off future BD prices) gets approved, my library will grow considerably. I say "if" because I technically used the coupon today (it worked, took 10% off) but the deal was supposed to be dead after 12/31/2006. I'm happy to get the $7 off now, but I'd be really happy if I still got in on the deal and got 10% off in 2007. Amazon would basically become my sole-source provider of BD discs if that were the case.
Shane, I may be misunderstanding your post, but are they in fact remastering The Fifth Element for another BD release? I'd really like to know because it's one of my favorite movies and if another BD release is coming, I'm going to wait for it.
I would like some clairification as well on the Stargate title on bluray. I would really like to own that title and if it is going to be remastered allready. I would rather wait and buy the improved transfer if they are going to offer a better transfer of this movie?

All bought for under $20 thanks to Buy.com and google. Most for $15. I plan on renting a lot more now and purchasing very few back titles. All new titles that I feel like owning will be on Blu-ray. I all but stopped buying DVD's this past year and will probably never buy another one again with the exception of TV on DVD. Double dipping is also something I'm going to ignore this generation.
Put in a few orders on Amazon for some demo blu-ray material: Black Hawk Down, Kingdom of Heaven, X-Men 3, Monster House, and Kung Fu Hustle. Looking forward to seeing how Chicago looks in a couple weeks.
Until I sign up with Amazon, I bought Black Hawk Down and T2 today with my PS3. I'm paying more for the movies, but I need some instant gratification when I get home to hook it up tonight.
I just got a PS3 on Tue. so I only have 2 so far; A Christmas Story (a Christmas present and my first BD) and MI3 that I bought Tue. night so I would have something a little more impressive to look at. Need to get some more now.
A question about chapter names; neither one of those discs have names just numbers. What is that about?
