Rikk, come on man. What has your own research told you so far? Tell us which sets pique your interest and those who have experience with them will be better able to help.

Rikk, at least let us know what you plan on viewing.

i.e., 70% SD, 10% HD, 20% DVD? or something similar.

As an example if you plan to watch a lot of SD material, you will want a set with a good line doubler, and stretch modes like a Pioneer 533. If you only plan on watching DVD's and HD, a Mitsubishi would be a good choice. Also, is DVI important to you? Something that entered in the equation a little when I was deciding, was the cabinet. I wanted one that could support a relativley heavy center channel.

We NEED more info from you!!!!!

My bad, probably about 40% SD via Dish Network and 60% DVD. I was close to the Elite 530, but for 3500 I don't think the investment is there for my amount of SD viewing.

Alot depends on your veiwing distance also. Are we looking at a 45" set or a 65"set?
Some brands make better smaller rptv's then others, some make better larger sets.Best value for the money,I might recommend the tosh 65h82.
    Good luck and happy shopping.
