November 11 US date and price confirmed:DVD Times - Band of Brothers (US BD) in November

I have to say, that price is a lot better than the I was expecting. The online discount (which should bring it to under $70) should make it even better. The price combined with the new features should render the HD DVD version useless (as a value point) for all but the diehards.

The pack shot on Amazon UK would suggest DTS-HD MA.

I'm not able to post it here but perhaps someone else can.

As a follow-up, amazon.uk.com has a pre-order price of £37.49. Amazon.com (US) has a pre-order price of $69.95.

But, amazon.com doesn't seem to have appropriate artwork posted yet:

But if you can wait a little, I suspect you can get it from the semi-annual DDD sale for even less. ;) :D

UK specs (I´m sure US specs are identical):
DVD Times - Band of Brothers (UK BD) in November

"*DTS-HD Master Audio
*All 10, 1-hour parts of the epic miniseries
*All New, Never-before-Seen Blu-ray Bonus Features, including:
Interactive Field Guide including Soldier Bios, Historical Timeline, Map, Chain of Command and Glossary
*Picture-in-Picture Video Commentary for all 10 episodes
*Bonus Features from original SD release, including:
“We Stand Alone Together in the Company of Men” (80 minute documentary)
Behind the Scenes: The Making of Band of Brothers (Ron Livingston’s video diaries)

Great extras! This is in my "top 5 wish list" when it comes to Blu-ray.

While I would have purchased this title even with Dolby True HD, it is really nice to see that it will get a DTS-HD MA track. More importantly I am glad to see it is being released on Blu-ray in 08' instead of 09' or 2010. This is another title that is high up on my list along with the James Bond films, Saving Private Ryan, Back To The Future, Gladiator, Jurassic Park and Star Wars among other titles as well. ;)

I purposefully held off on buying the SD version and I can not wait for the Blu-ray verion to be released. :D
