I have to make some video's using Camstudio to record some tutorials from my computer.

I need to do some very simple editing like cutting out a section and splicing 2 videos together.

Is there a good, easy to use/learn software for this?

The free Windows Movie Maker, which comes with XP (not sure about Vista -- you didn't say what you have) is fine for simple cutting. In fact it looks a lot like Camstudio so it should be familiar.

Windows Movie Maker, etc. were all removed after the anti-trust suit against Microsoft. But you can now download them after the fact as "Windows Live Essentials" (bing or google it) it's free, and it's pretty good.

Outside of that, if you want something cheap and easy, Ulead MovieFactory and Nero Vision are both effective, cheap, and easy.

www.videohelp.com - tons of free apps for all sorts of video editing and conversion, plus plenty of how-to guides to do just about anything.
