The program guide information for last night's Rock Center broadcast indicated that Apple CEO Jim Cook was a guest. Tim Cook indicated that he enjoyed his privacy and I guess that's still working for him. :)
Watched the episode last night. I have no idea how close the 'real' Tim Cook aligns with the image that was presented, but he certainly seemed like a level headed guy and I like the focus on quality and narrowing the focus to concentrate on a few products vs.a sea of mediocrity.

Tim spoke to investors today in a wide ranging interview: http://www.macworld.com/article/2027900/this-is-tim-cook-at-the-2013-goldman-sachs-conference.html I can't think of a saner, more even handed response to anything he answered. Sure there's a twinkle of the 'magic' language in there, but still, very even keeled and confident. Tim is in the First Lady's section during the president's state of the union tonight. Expectations are that O will highlight Apple's initiatives to reignite manufacturing here in the US. Annual shareholder meeting is tomorrow. It's not unusual for announcements to follow soon after the annual meeting. Hopefully we'll see announcements for spring keynotes sometime soon! Worst comes to worst expectations are for WWDC signups to come out (and sell out within an hour if not minutes) in early March. Fingers crossed.
