I guess it needs more than one casual listen to sink in.

I think the way it works is that upon first listening to new music, or atleast music you haven't heard before, certain songs strike an immediate chord with someone while others take a little longer to appreciate. In my case songs like Godwhacker, Slang, and Pixeleen registered immediately upon the initial listen to the album while after further listening to the album I began to also like the other songs because I became more familiar with them. Blues Beach is taking the longest for me to really like but I'm getting there and that's basically the last song I had any kind of hesitation about.
