Dang, I really wanted The Frighteners, which I've never seen. Sounds like I won't be getting it. Oh well -- I'm sure I'll be able to find it online cheaply enough.
For those unfamiliar with Streets of Fire, it's a semi-musical action flick very loosely based on the Iliad (Walter Hill, the director, made The Warriors around the same time, loosely based on the Odyssey). It features a very young (but old enough ) Diane Lane and a couple of original Jim Steinman songs (among others). It's been a while since I've seen it because I've been awaiting a decent home video edition (the DVD was not anamorphic), but I remember it being a lot of fun.
