Anyone have any feedback on the recently released DVD-A set of Beethoven symphonies with Abbado conducting?

I have heard the earlier Abbado performances and agree with the reviewer at the link above:

Since the Abbado set is the only Beethoven cycle available on DVD-A, I went out and purchased a Sack-Dee only player (Philips 693).

Actually, the Abbado set is not the only cycle on DVD-A. Anyone familiar with the Barenboim set? Any reviews?

I have the Barenboim set. I enjoy them, but they're not my favorite readings of some of the pieces.

SACD does have a bit of an advantage with legacy classical music because Sony owns Columbia, which has a massive library.
