Anyone know of any reviews for the Long Gray Line? I have never seen this film but discovered it was made by John Ford. I usually like his films and wonder if this film is worth a purchase.

I would describe it as schmalz, but really good schmalz that I watch everytime it shows up on TV. The story is based in fact and I've actually visited Marty's grave at West Point.

Schmaltz! It is a tear jerker for real men. The kind of stuff that women, boys, hippies, and new age yuppies are not able to understand.
