SPY KIDS is going to get a wide release in red/cyan format, and likely this is what will make the transition to DVD. They can just include a couple of pairs of cardboard glasses in the keepcase. No matter how "improved" they say it is, the red/blue or red/cyan anaglyph stuff won't do much to help, as it is rarely very effective.
Hopefully, the film will get a limited release in IMAX 3-D as well, and a field sequential DVD is certainly possible.
.
I wouldn't count on it, though, and I bet that GHOSTS OF THE ABYSS will be a flat (and longer) version on DVD as well.
SPY KIDS 3-D isn't entirely in 3-D from all reports. I think it is just sequence(s) set inside a video game.
