What's the problem, an actress playing another former actress? Bascially, the only thing we got to go on as far as how accurate her performance is as Leigh is when she's in character for her part in Psycho.

Just a gut reaction. I'll admit she doesn't really do anything for me like she does for some people here. Also of the Hitchcock muses, Leigh is low on the list for me. So basically it's a double threat.

Knowing Hollywood They'll probably have Keira Knightley playing Pat Hitchcock and Robert Pattinson playing Anthony Perkins.
Hmm...as much as I hate Twilight, Pattinson might actually be able to pull that off though.

Wait a minute....Ralph Macchio as Joe Stefano? THAT is actually an interesting choice.
But it doesn't seem to have Robert Bloch anywhere, I mean they even have Saul Bass & Ed Gein in the cast for god's sake but not the writer of the original novel?

Robert Bloch had nothing to do with making the movie (beyond getting a check for them adapting his book). Saul Bass worked on the movie and Ed Gein will be a flashback, dream or news footage.

That Robert Bloch didn't work on the movie and that the real life murders that Psycho is very loosely based on are apparently going to be referenced. So it's not particularly odd that Gein is going to be in it and Bloch isn't.

I would like to think the man who wrote the novel that the film is based on would have a small roll, seeing as he is the one who did the homework on Gein (and many others) for the novel to begin with.
Herman should certainly have representation seeing as it is his score that truly made the shower scene (and every other scene it is heard in IMO) as frightening as it was.

Not if you'd talked to me a few years ago. My reaction to her was similar to SJ up until she appeared in Blade III.
