Ian, he didn't have anything to do with it. The titles you listed are all Columbia/Tri-Star home video releases, except they probably needed a 4th to include in the disc and didn't have another Kevin Smith title.

This IS really the funniest DVD ever...I love the part with the Superman script when the Warnes execs says:
"Did he bring up the spider...?"
"Yeah...what is that all about" (or some line like that)
"...EVERY day with the fu*king spider..." :)
There was some writing a while ago about a sequel to An Evening With Kevin Smith called "An Evening With Kevin Smith 2 - Evening Harder" :)
Also, if you are Kevin Smith fans, there are LOTS of funny stories on the Clerks X DVD...among it a little story of when Scott Mosier got mad at Kevin:
Mosier got mad at Kevin because Mosier worked very hard, and came all the way from Canada to help Kevin...and then he found Kevin having sex with a chick in the porn section of the videostore, while Mosier worked his ASS off getting Clerks finished...and he started to bitch to Kevin...and eventually Kevin just started to look around the room, and when Mosier asked him what the hell he was doing, he said "I was trying to find you some tissues" Great stuff

Yeah that is what I figured. I just hate when they have arbitrary "If you like this then you will love.." ads on the packaging or on the menus. The others made sense since he was involved but the Mr. Deeds was just stupid.

that actually adds a lot of humor to Kevin's scene in Comic Book The Movie where he talks about turning "hollywood" and learning to accept that you need giant spiders in the the third act. thanks for that info. I will definitely check this disc out!

Watched it a few times since the beginning of this thread. It never gets old. Still hilarious. Have turned quite a few people on to this also... :emoji_thumbsup: :emoji_thumbsup:

Don't forget this story:
Joining a religious group outside the theater and joining in the protest against "Dogma" :D

I got this disc almost a year ago and it is one of my favorites for practically all of the reasons mentioned in this thread.

As good as I think it is, IMO it is still underrated...and there are probably a lot of people out there that would like this disc that don't even know about it.

I finally saw this last night and it was hilarious! I loved the part where he called that guy's work to get his job back as a busser. And it didn't work.

I also really liked his stories about Mewes.

Chaka Mad!

I rented this a couple years ago and seemed to have enjoyed it as much as the others who have posted in this thread, but I didnt think there would be much replay value, so I never bought it. Would any of you say this is something that is enjoyable to watch more than once?

As one who heard most of the stories when he came to town, I still find it funny. I think of it like any stand-up performer. Some stuff is just timeless.

Looking forward to the sequel...

Jason
