amp got fried? (1 Viewer)

Hello to all...I got this problem recently and I need some opinions from you guys to what's my next move. I have a 5.1 avr connected to a 5 channel amp. I used the 2 ch from the amp to power a set of speakers located outside the house. About a year ago, I disconnected the speakers located outside to do some carpentry and as usual still use my system to watch dvd movies to present time.

Now I've noticed that the amp channels for the outside speakers does not work anymore. Did I fry it by disconnecting the speakers and just left the wires dangling but still use the system as it is meaning 3 channels with load and the rest without? Any input would help.

wires dangling? sounds like it might just cause a short.

So just in case my amp craps out...anyone from SoCal (WCovina area) who knows of a hi-fi service guy that you can refer me, I would really appreciate it.
