"American Pie 2" song - Not on soundtrack (1 Viewer)

I posted this in the Music area a few days ago, and didn't get any nibbles, so I thought I'd try here:

Man, I hate when I hear a song I really like, and then it doesn't end up on the soundtrack. Especially when I missed in the credits the name of the song, or who performs it.
It's a song played near the very end of the movie, during the party, when all the main characters are dancing and "toasting" each other. The only lyric I can remember has something to do with "going under", I think.
Anyone have any insight? I did some Deja-Google searching and came up empty...

I dont own the soundtrack, but I remember Weezers 'Island in the Sun' or 'Hash Pipe' was played but not on the soundtrack. Otherwise, I'm of no use.

Sum41 has a song called In Too Deep.
I'm pretty sure they had another song on the soundtrack and this might be what you're thinking of
